Hi, and welcome to Grimmet Forge!

My name is Don, and I’ve been a blacksmith for over 25 years. My journey with the forge began in an unexpected place—Mongolia—where I first picked up blacksmithing out of necessity. Living in a remote area with limited access to tools, I started forging my own, and a lifelong passion for metalwork was born.

Now based in Cut Bank, Montana, I’ve called this beautiful corner of the Hi-Line home for the past ten years. Alongside my work at the forge, I also have the privilege of serving as a pastor in our local church, where lives are forged under the preaching of God's Word.

At Grimmet Forge, I specialize in hand-forged, high-quality items made to be used, appreciated, and passed down. Some of my regular creations include fireplace tools, grill implements, rustic dinner bells, custom hot brands, hooks, and much more. I also gladly take on custom orders—so if you have an idea, I’d love to help bring it to life.
